Auguri di Buon Natale un po di presto ma va beh!

I am wiggling in my chair and just counting down the days till I will hear the sweeeet squaking of Andrew and the first words from Graham, "Ciao, Sorella Alley come stai?!" Yes, first words will be in italian.

Okay, lets just jump right into the goods of the week. Shout out to Stephen's glory days once again. We had dinner with Maria and Richerd last week and she made an authentic Republica Domenicana meal for us. She pulled out these MASSIVE GREEN BANANAs. I am not kidding, like close to a foot long. Apparently they are called Plantina or something like that.....but she deep fried them into these crunchy little morsels of island blast in the mouth. Hope that is somewhat accurate to what Stephen ate or I just got tricked by a foreigner.

Alright, weather update for all your cold salt lakers-.you havent been cold until you have been in the humidity. Yes, today is -10 degress with so much humidity it's like you are sweating but you are not being really you are shivering and the tears freeze in your eyeballs. Also, it gets SOOOOOO foggy here. You cannot see more than 5 feet in front of your face and the land is blanketed in it. So crazy, and the natives say its the worst this year. Makes tracting fun, anyone we find we talk to because we usually literallty walk right into them. However, when someone is one a bike - it's scary because it looks like a black monster is coming straight for you. Satan.

We had a wonderful Christmas zone conference this year. President Dibb talked a lot about living the celestial law vs the mosaic law. Sure we can live the 10 commandments, it's easier for most of us not to kill or steal. But just the Mosaic law isnt going to get us to heaven. We have to live the HIGHER law. Good old President, swung the bat and the ball landed right in between my eyeballs. Mission rules, at times (maybe like 98%), feel like the law of moses. But I realized, while they might be the mosiac law, I should want to live the higher law because I love my Savior and my God more. Sure I can get out of my perfect molded and warm bed at 630 am but I could use those 30 minutes for effectively by living the celestial law and creating a dviniley sculptured body....

still working on that....

So the past two days, we did a scambio (exchange?) with two sorelle in Milano. I got to work with my mission grandma - Sorella Heupel, who dies this transfer and goes home in just a few weeks. Anyone, she let me pick the area and apartment buildings to tract so away we went in the dark of the evening. Well the first apartment we enter, go staright up to the top floor in the craziest "elevator" I have ever seen. I am pretty sure it was cardboard. But the doors swing open and away we go. Then looking around I realize, we are in the HOOOOOOD of milano. hahaha so I tell myself "Stop being so first world Sorella Alley" and we start knocking. At this point my eyeballs are popping out of my head and I start thinking "I literally could get shot here in a matter of seconds and NO KNOW would know that I am dead until at least Sunday. Oh my gosh, I am too young to die!" I was terrified. I told Sorella Heupel we had to scop (flee) because the Spirit doesnt protect against bullets but you had better believe I had my Book of Mormon over my heart while we were running away....I have serious trust in the world of God. hahaha It was a grand adventure and I am being 100% safe, Mom really I am. :)

Alright so I am nearly 9 months finished with my mission I have conquered this language. I will Give you an example- On Sunday we took a special message of Christ to 3 new investigators and I thought "Wow, you are bearing some goooood testimony tonight!" Well naturally, I needed humbiling and it came in the form of my Companion.

"Sorella Alley, you keep using the wrong were for suffered. You probably should stop telling people that Christ deepfried for us..."

Oh did I say I had conquered this language...

Vi amo tutti! Avete un settimana piena di risate, sorrisi, buon cibo, e l'amore. Effettuare una memoria.

Sorella Alley

Fun fact of the week: If you want to tell someone they are crazy or maybe "something is alittle off" with them, you say,

Tu sei fuori come un balcone. You are out like a balcony. hhahahahahahahahah
