Mamma Mia (Fun Fact, literally translates to Mother of Mine!)

Another week has come and gone, another leaf has fallen, and soon enough it will be snowing!!!! Around herrrrre in Lodi, the locals say about -17 degrees cel. is normal for the winter. For you Americans, 0 cel is freezing. Basically I am about to freeze to Death. I am going to have to find lots of people to save to warm my soul.

So, let us start with the end of last transfer. For our last night in Rimini, Sorella Burkman and I ate dinner with Emilio and Ilaria. The evening was wonderful and then we gave Emilio a surprise. Burkster and I had made a shirt with our faces on it and when we presented it to Emilio, his face exploded with pleasure! He was so happy and now he will Always have his two favorite missionaries with him :) So we said goodbye to Mamma Ilaria and surprise, tears. We packed, went to bed and then woke at 5 to catch our train to Milan. Emiilo took us to the train station, helped put our luggage on the train and then we said our goodbyes. Okay, now that really sucked. He is hands down the best person I know I literally saved my life so many times in Rimini. He went out of his way to make sure I was happy and okay. He wrote me a beautiful letter and I am contemplating being buried with it. hahaha :) Well we made our way to Milano, and actually passed Lodi on the way....

In Milano I was greeted by Sorella Killpack, the same transfer as Sorella Burkman. She was trained by Sorella Harward who trained Lindsay Stephens so that has been a fun discovery. But She is 20 and from Cedar City. She is rad. She has been inactive most of her life and only started going back to Church last may, a year and half ago. She definitely loves the gospel and absolutely loves less active work, so we will focusing a lot of our efforts there. She is tall, about 5'11 and has the prettiest blue eyes ever. Hahaha With my blonde hair and her blue eyes, we get lots of attention.......So our apartment is in Lodi but we are hardly ever in Lodi. On average we will spend about 2-3 hours daily on traveling to Piazzini (meaning little countries) in the surrounding areas. Lodi itself is very industrial looking and the outskirts mostly farmland. The area is a ward and they have some stalwart members. Apparently many of which are South American, and mostly Argentinian. Maybe I will squeeze some referrals out of them for Hermana Alley.

They had 3 baptism in last transfer and now we are starting over with our teaching pool- I have done more tracting and finding here already than I Have done on my entire mission. In Rimini we led the mission with weekly lessons so I am Learning everyday how to find and talk to people on the streets. Everyone we talk to thinks that we are Amish and I am either German or Norwegian. Hahaha They are shocked to learn that we drive cars, use electricity and are normal. But I'll take the german-norwegian thing - means I dont have too much of an american accent!

We have a really nice apartment, which is mostly empty. They were the first missionaries in it so it is bare to the bones. But I am very excited for this new adventure and have already grown a lot. Sorella Killpack speaks Italian well and I am Learning new concepts and words from her daily. This new change, while hard and intimidating, is exactly what I needed. Hurray for President's inspiration!

Well Family, I love you guys tons and pray for you each daily! Becca go kill it in Argentina and just remember the sooner you just love the people the easier it will be. Happy almost Halloween!
