From Rimini to Lodi...

We are not in Rimini anymore, Toto.

But we might actually be in Kansas, considering how many random farming communities are in my area....anyways besides the fact.

Let's jump into this week!

So last Thursday, Hermana Alley flew to Argentina and what did Sorella Alley do? Well we had FHE with, drum roll for a tender mercy, an Argentian family! They moved here from Argentina 10 years ago and they have family there that might be in Becca's same mission! Well I instantly loved this family, Riuz-Diaz, and now that Becca will be taken care of because the Italians and Argentinians are incredibly linked. We are closer than we thought, Boo.

So money moment of the week - we visited a family on Sunday (Sundays are marathon days, we left for church at 9 and got back home at 930 that night, totally exhausted) and the son Cristian is 18 years old. He was a lot of questions and doubts about the BoM, Joseph Smith and God. Well, they were the last lesson of the day and as we sat down in their apartment, I realized that because I am super awesome senior companion, we had nothing planned for this lesson. I offered a plea heaven word and whispered to Sorella Killpack, "Follow my lead on the Book of Mormon..." hahaha ya cause I had an idea of where to go....not. Well as always, the Spirit took over and we had an incredible lesson and I came away strengthened and more grounded in my testimony. I realized that we honestly do not have "to know" with a surety of all the many gospel concepts. Slowly, we build to our testimony and that is how Heavenly Father wanted it to be. I do not understand a lot but I know that God loves me- and I can build up from there. I also realized that this is why we serve missions at young ages. What better way to find your testimony than to help other people find theirs! I tell you what, God really knows what He is doing. Though I do not recommend not planning for a lesson, this was a lesson to remember.

Tender mercy #2. I hadn't realized until well, about 10 times of showering, that HELLO ITS A TUB! Do you understand the significance of this? Yes, I proudly admit that the day I realize this, I took a bath - an hour long bath and I might have shed a few tears of blissful joy. After 7 months, I sat down in a tub. Tender Mercy.

Miracle Moment: We have been advertising for our English class like crazy. Last night was the first class and 3 people showed up. Natalia, her mom Nelly and her dad Manuele. They are from Peru, and infact, are Incans! HOW COOL IS THAT!!!! real people Inca people still exist. Anyways, at the end of the class we shared a spiritual message and Manuele (totally the Spanish version of Pierre) asks what we believe about Maria. Well, we look at each other and think "Great, here we go, already defending our beliefs about Mary!" then he completely shocks us (direct quote)

Manuele: "When I met you on the street, I felt something. I do not know how to describe it but it was very good. I saw something in your eyes, maybe happiness. I think maybe Mary had the same light in her eyes."

In Sister Alley's head, "Welcome to the Church, brother. You will be the next sunbeam teacher."

These are the moments that I live for as a missionary. God is preparing people for me to teach.

Last but not least,

This week's edition of, "Sister Alley Shouldn't Speak Ever"

Here I am explaining to some lovely people that we, as missionaries, have rules for our protection but mostly to bless our lives. When we break any rules, we disqualify ourselves for these blessings and in mission terms, "we are apostate missionaries". You may be thinking to yourself, how could Sister Alley screw up such a motivational and inspiration message?!

By switching the word "apostate" with "prostate". That is how.

Buon Hallowe'en Tutti, vi amo.

Sorella Alley
"The last BK meal together, before my little one flew the nest."
(Editor's Note: This foreign serving RM doesn't feel
one OUNCE of sympathy for these sisters. BK and Oreo shakes?!)

"Our gift to Emilio. Our faces printed on a shirt,
so he can always remember his favorite missionaries. He was so happy."
