Halloween in Italy

Another giorno di preparazione has come and I am freezing in a little internet cafe. Oh how the times change, and Italy is strikingly similar. Yesterday - freezing cold. This afternoon - beautifully warm. Now. Freezing again. Home sweet home.
Well let us start of with Halloween. The day was very uneventful until the evening. We had planned a party for the ward members that night so we were excited. The Clock struck the appointed hour of seven thirty and not a soul to be seen. Now, I cant say that I blame them, I definitely wouldn't ever go to the sister missionaries Halloween party either pre mission but after....I will be throwing it down with them. Anyways, we are packing up to leave and 3 members from our weekly English class show up! We gave them a quick tour of the building and then we had a beautiful lesson with them. Manuele and Nelli and their family are so ready for the restored gospel- They accepted baptismal dates and now we work our behinds off to grow them!

Well then, naturally staying true to myself, after we got home I made Sorella Killpack celebrate Halloween with flare. We carved squash (turns out I would have had to sell my kidney to get a pumpkin here...) and enjoyed some nice candy while listening to Pocahontas. Well the inappropriate hour of 1030 struck and I wasn't done celebrating. I looked at Killpack and said, "British or Indian" she replies "huh British! Why?" me-"You have got a minute and half to put on a costume and be back in the kitchen." We scrambled like mad men, created epically perfect costumes and made a music video to"Savages" from the Disney Pocahontas. I really am so grateful for companions that don't think I am completely insane. it was a wonderful Halloween.

My goal for this transfer is the language. I have decided I will only be fluent in I am 100% obedient and qualify for this blessing. Well God is appreciating the effort. We walked past a man on the street and he turned around and stopped us. After chatting for a few minutes we were able to set a return appointment for the following week. We were  a bit hesitant to go to this appointment because he did say, "hey, I have a friend who knows some mormons and he says that are wealthy"....but we met him at the church and turns out HELLO HE IS GOLDEN! Good old golden Manzio. He was asking incredible questions and at one point says "so what do i have to do be a member?" .....ribbit ribbit.....did I just hear you correctly!? Thank you, i did. He will be baptized on December 7th

We are really seeing the miracles and it is so obvious that the work is hastening.

Shout out to Mom - Sorella Killpack and I are walking home late one night and we passed some men. Normally, we ignore them but on this occasion we thought we recognized a member of the ward who was drunk. we were like "Ya, heeeeck no." so we stared him down. Turns out, not him. But instead he looks me dead in the eyes and says, "give your mother my compliments you beautiful thanggg." So Mom, a drunk Italian man sends you his compliments....

Other than that, All is well in Zion and we are halfway through the transfer. I love you all, and so blessed to have the BEST family in THE WORLD!!!!

Vi amo tutti!
